Yer i was considering a backup / restore method, But moving between OS some paths and versions change for MySQL Mariadb and MySQLi,
To avoid complications i am thinking of moving things over manually.

Unsure if your aware CentOS 8 end of life is in December!! They extended there support for Version 7 until 2024, not sure why they cut 8 so short! Would of said i am still happy with my Pi 4, allthough i dont use it much anymore now everything is cloud based / server.
i dont even think its plugged in anymore, its next to the router i know that much, And it still have Arch Linux on it. Gota be outdated by a god year now

As it could be more effective to isolate a small cpu and ram but allocate more HHD space.

Is it home streaming/ video music an stuff?
I.e having your music bank in the cloud an streaming on the go

Well feel free to use that one, It runs on a VPS so never usually have any issues, Only thing i wont filter is youtube ads.
I use a Firefox extension for that now, and i use Vanced Youtube on my phone for Ad Free youtube, but other than that, its as good as gold

If you use OpenVPN you can use my Pihole as a VPN (Will block ads and also grant you access to blocked websites by ISP)
