debian terminal on 4K TV

IF the resolution is too high and you can barely see the text, this is the fix. I was able to set the resolution with a bootparameter in /etc/default/grub but when the tty loads, it gets overriden by something. Then I found this: https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/issues/1227#issuecomment-368846000 ...

DJ streaming on Twitch.tv

I've only just started streaming live on twitch, and so far, its great, no copyright strikes like you get on youtube. You do get silenced on video playback - after the stream ended, but that's no big deal. What I've read and heard is the Twitch.TV is trying to build a live streaming platform for DJ'...

Re: Sony buys Bungie

I barely even game today, the only game I play and still play is Astroneer.
I tried and loved Dyson Sphere Program for a while. But that's it. I just can't get into games any more.

And FPS... I don't bother with them at all now.

Sony buys Bungie

Bungie has confirmed that Sony's acquisition will not impact Destiny 2's roadmap, with the game's current "Light and Dark Saga" being due to end in 2024 with the release of "The Final Shape" in 2024. Like Liverpool Studios, they close them down eventually. It's what Sony does. Ja...

Dyson Sphere Program

I've been playing a lot of these recently and I love it.
It's one of those games that not only entertains, it also changes the type of games you play.

Tesla is crushing battery manufacturing

Telsa have been making electric cars for well over 15 years and other manufacturers are struggling to get started. Yet Tesla just keep making constant improvements, refitting and reducing costs. Even VW are having a tough time reducing costs without cutting corners. If things continue, then Tesla wi...

My mind is blown - Electricity and circuits

So if I'm getting this right, then electricity doesn't really flow down the wires, the wires and the electrons just facilitate the electro-magnetic field, and it's this that lights up a bulb.

Re: The Official Dungeon Defenders Thread

It's a shame, I still do play this now and again on PC, it's still an awesome game. But the second and third are complete let-downs. It's as if they don't know what made the first game magical. They lost the recipe for the secret sauce and nothing can replace it. They made an absolute fortune on the...

Has anyone else played Dungeon Defenders 2? I've put a few hours into it but it was meh! No where near as much fun as the first.

The Drake Equation

There are several takes on the initial number of planets/stars in the universe, but the end number never returns a zero. Drake-Equation-chalk.png https://www.seti.org/drake-equation-index There are a couple of places where the equation breaks down. N = The number of solar systems where electromagnet...

The Ascent PC Visuals

The amount of detail in this game is nothing short of astonishing.

It's also quite a good game, it's got a low replay value, but it's a good story and enjoyable to the end.
